I need to do a coshh assessment for a plumbing and heating company. can anyone supply me with a list of the harmful substances that a plumber.heating engineer come across. Any help greatly appreciated.
Hi, My nephew has just passed his course in plumbing and heating and I have given him questions to answer. From bits that I remember about harmful substances of which there are quite a few - some are Flux, Asbestos, Solvent weld glue, cleaning solutions and solder. Cant remember many more at the moment but if I can I will contact you again. Cheers and good luck
I think you need to do propper job and find out from the correct sources what is needed ...
a chatroom isn't an appropriate source for information on the storage and handling of what could potentially be life threatening explosive or toxic chemicals.
apart from the above ,each item used has to have a hazard warning sheet issued by the supplier, this by law still has to be kept in a safe for medics etc .
but on each item you will see a hazard warning and code suffix .
I pity you your job doing this as it`s a minefield.
