hi all, i woke this mornin with the most immense pain at the right side of my tailbone, god its awful every move i make good r bad is agony, i havnt bashed it r anything like that and im just wondering how quick my dr might refer me to a chiropractor?? answers on a postcard plluureaase help!!

thanks i can lie flat and i cant roll over it hurts too much! plus i dont think i could sleep on the floor and still feel alive enough to get up at 7am with two kiddies! lol a private chiropractor is soo expensive, i think my pelvis is out of line from havin 2 large babies and from a fall. and im only 29 god help me in yrs to come!
I don't think docs can refer ypu to a chiropractor, they couldn't or wouldn't 3 years ago when my partner could barely move. They suggested he apply heat then ice, 20 mins each alternately, and take ibuprofen, which he did with little sucess. Eventually I managed to half carry him, half drag him out to the car, and paid for him to see a chiropractor, 10 mins later he walked out of the chiropractors office - miarcle, but v.expensive, we learnt to do what the chiropractor did, at home. Hope you get it sorted!

I have arthritis and back problems and NHS referred me to physio.
I see an osteopath privately though for me it helps it temporarily and is expensive but for the relief I brings, I find a way to afford it.
Saying that, my osteo always takes a serious interest in what comes through from other medical professionals as it helps guide him in his treatment.
I recently had a spine MRI on the NHS and my osteopath hsa asked me to try and get a copy of the results and copies of other xrays.
NHS is far slower and I'd have been suffering a lot more than I am if I hadn't had osteo help along the way.
