As mentioned before I am 75, Diabetic, and have Prostate Cancer, and had a Colonoscopy about 4 months ago which was normal, and last week I took a urine sample to my GP whom dipped it and said he was pleased with the result and that there was no urine problem. The thing is, it still smells strong and am concerned. I`ve also had the `runs` quite more than normally recently and was rudely awakened this morning and only just made it to the loo. Should I bother the doctor again?
Yes -that is what they get paid between £60.000 and £100.00 per annum for.
Strong urine usually equates to dehydration and some medication can cause that. The 'runs' would also suggest that it could be your medication -sometimes you can be on the same tablets for a while then have a reaction like everything else we digest.
See your GP and insist that something is done. You are entitled to the best professional care and you shouldnt have to come here for advice and I mean that kindly .
Drisgirl, I agree with what you say, and like you say, I am on an awful lot of pills for one thing and another, thanks, and a Very Happy Christmas to you and yours.
Glad you're not on Metformin c23, as you say you're on a lot of medication, it could be they are all rebelling hence 'the runs' your body is telling you something I feel. Wish you better soon.

Some diabetics urine smells of peardrops, because of keytones in their body. If this happens definately seek medical help because it can be dangerous.
