i took my daughter to the dentist as soon as her first tooth came through, it helps them realise that a visit to the dentist is nothing to worry about, and she has done the same with her children. as sar said, why wouldnt you take your child to the dentist

She has a brother a sister, a couple of years older and younger and i don't think they have either. a couple of their teeth are wuite twisted and probably would have had braces if they'd seen a dentist.

I know a person with less twisted teeth (and no gaps) than them who has braces.

But if they're not registered with a dentist, what happens if they get a bad ulser etc and they need to have an emergency appointment, they havent got a dentist to go to.

Or can you go to a random doctor with an emrgency, i remember my mum going to a dentist in manchester when we were staying with realtives, when our registered denist is over 200 miles away from there.

if they get ulcers or infections they can go to the doctors.. but if the cause is rotten teeth the doctor can't deal with that.

so if it was in any other part of the country, what would have happened (we're registered with a nhs dentist) so would we be able to go to any other nhs dentist on an emergency appointment?

just look at the NHS site and find a local dentist. it's free for children.

each place should have an emergency number. i live in tameside and have been treated by them once, ie had a tooth pulled out. it is up to me to find an nhs dentist that will treat me if i have any other problems. wether that be 5 miles or 10 miles away.

If something happens if they get an infection, cant the parents get done for neglect, if they've never taken their child to a dentist?
