He had enlarged prostate gland exactly the same symptoms as yours and had an operation where the prostate gland was shaved with a laser. I think he was in hospital 2 or 3 days with about 4-6 wks recovery afterwards. This was an extreme case though, as sometimes drugs might help and thus avoid an op. Altogether hubby is much better now and doesn't need to go so often especially in the night. Ask more questions and I will gladly try to help if you need to.
Hi roslyn and dizmouk. my husband only needs to go to the toilet in the night if he drinks after about 9 in the evening. But in the day he can be going every hour or so. He was having trouble somes mornings when he got up as he wanted to go but couldnt except for a dribble. But that hasnt happened very often.
Many thanks sqad, every time I have asked a medical question you have always been so helpful, and put my mind at rest. My husband went to see his GP this morning and he now wants him to go to the hospital for an ultrascan. He mentioned he may have to have an op but that was if it is the worse case. After reading the information on BPH it seems to be the same symptoms. so now it has put his mind to rest. Thankyou.!
