I was booked in recently to be sterilised using the Essure procedure. About halfway through the surgeon had to abandon the procedure as he said my womb was acutely retroverted and he suspects my fallopian tubes are acutely twisted, as I was a bit shocked about this at that time I didnt ask him any questions as to what has caused my tubes to be twisted. The surgeon did not seem to concerned and never suggested going back to have any more investigations or anything else done.
From what I have been reading on the internet sometimes untreated pelvic infections can cause this but I have never had any infections and my smear is up to date.
I also have three children who were concieved naturally and according to what I have researched on the internet twisted fallopian tubes can cause infertility but I didnt have any problem concieving with them.
I am going to my GP on Thursday to have a chat with them as im just feeling really confused at the moment and as I also suffer with health anxiety Im feeling quite scared at the moment in case something serious like cancer (my biggest fear) has caused it. I know im probably being stupid but I cant help it and im just wondering if anyone else has heard of someone having twisted tubes.
Bednobs Ive been tested for that about a year ago as I kept on getting thrush confirmed by my GP and he decided to swab me for everything including chlamydia it all came back negative only thrush was found.
Sqad I was awake during this procedure and I was watching them trying to go up my fallopian tubes on the screen, he remarked that my fallopian tubes were interesting and that he couldnt proceed as my tubes were twisted and they could not go any further up my tubes.
jam....so there is your answer...twisted Fallopian Tubes......technical difficulties.
Cause? If we accept that they were twisted, then you were born with them twisted and had three children with them...twisted.
