Good evening everyone.
Has anyone else suffered with a horrendous bitter, metallic taste in their mouth? Both Mr Mazzywoo and I started experiencing this first thing today and it's not going away! At first, we thought it was our water supply (coffee and tea tasted ghastly) but it wasn't that. As I am a bit of a worryguts, I googled it and behold, it seems as though it can be caused by eating pine nuts (we ate home made pesto with pine nuts on Tuesday evening). The bitter taste comes on several days later and can unfortunately can last up to several weeks. I would just be interested to hear anyone else's experiences.
Have a nice evening
Maz
I can't say this has happened to me, maz - and I love pine nuts scattered on my salad. Could it be something to do with the pesto? Have you got the link you found about the taste, it would be useful to see.
I toast the pinenuts and scatter them over a green bean and goats' cheese salad with squeezed lemon juice. I've never had any lasting bitter taste as a result of eating them.
Hi all. All I did was to google 'bitter taste in mouth' There are literally hundreds of links. To be honest, we are just glad it isn't anything serious causing it but it is not nice-everything tastes nasty :(
