i always have my toenails painted...and i stick moisturiser on and put socks on top and leave for a while to soften :0D....thats it....oh and no long toenails hehe xx
no, it's not only a younger generation thing, it's a grooming thing.
i'm not of the younger generation (well, to someone over 100 i might be considered the younger generation) but i look after my feet.
i put cream on them every morning, especially the heels, and always keep the nails short and manicured, and always wear nail polish, usually in a bright red or orange but at present in a rich dark brown.
can't bear unkempt feet - yuk!
I wish I did, but feet were never something we considered as a child, we made up our faces and our nails as teenagers but feet were feet. I still regard them as utilitarian which is how mine look - and as I hardly ever wear shoes - except when I must - they often need a wash too.. <<gets in the shower>>
Having Diabetes, I have to visit my Podiatrist every 2 months to have mine checked and my toe-nails trimmed, which funnily enough is to-morrow. Thanks for reminding me.
I use a proper foot cream for hard skin every single night and file my feet with a sandpaper thing about three times a week otherwise the skin on my heels gets hard, splits and bleeds. I happened to look at my toe nail varnish whilst wearing my glasses today and OMG what a mess. I also have dirt under my toenails tonight from working in the garden - yuk!!
Boxtops, I hardly ever wear shoes too!! Never have done and was always getting told off as a child. I hate things on my feet, socks, shoes, tights. Horrible!!
i don't wear shoes or slippers in the house, ever, not even in winter, and i have to stick my feet out of the bed, can't bear anything on them.
i have a pair of crocs by the back door for when i go outside but sometimes don't even wear them. even when i need to wear shoes, i kick them off whenever i can. same with my bra, it comes off at the slightest opportunity, generally don't like feeling restricted by clothes or footwear.
