If I eat nothing but fruit, vegetables & fish for the next fortnight, and severely restrict my alcohol intake. If I walk 2 miles every night. If I cut out the butter, bacon & fats, will I lose a stone in those 2 weeks?

It's not like surviving on celery sticks & cabbage soup & exercising like a possessed buckfummad?

You don't need to restrict yourself to fish, turkey and pork are low in fat. A stone in 2weeks is a lot to lose. Exercise a bit more to tone up, dance, swim, clench your bum whilst waiting for the bus(remember to unclench). Alcohol does affect eating habits so it may be a good idea to restrict it... For 2 wks only mind!
Toni - it is difficult for me to restrict my alcohol to less than 2 (glasses) a day - never mind severely restrict it for 2 weeks. I blame my friends (Lil & Tara are extremely bad influences) & the stress of just having to survive each day....!
I clench my bum cheeks all the time (usually due to wind & being in public), I dance most nights (sad I know...) and would swim if I had more time & didn't feel such of a whale.
Life is hard :-(

Boo - I love your philosophy ! And of course, you are quite correct. I am only being tongue in (clenched) cheek......
Sara - I overdid the cherries the other day, with dire consequences following a bout of gastroenteritis. It is for a pending holiday, not just one event. A holiday which will involve much sailing swimming & walking, but also a hell of a lot of eating & drinking - so what you're saying is: I may as well not bother? OK!
One can only try one's best.

You've hit the proverbial nail on the head sara - my problem is I have an almost complete lack of willpower / self-control. In Layman's terms: I'm lazy / greedy / easily led...
I will try yoghurts (do those clotted cream ones count?), fish & veg. And clear gin or white wine. And what about Ducolax for ease of passage?

The plan you selected is very low carb...if you want to do it add eggs, and some meat as suggested and don't be afraid to use a little fat...Also recommend some soya either soya yoghurt or soya milk Try putting some ground flaxseeds in a soya/fruit milkshake raspberries blend well you won't need any other help
