Dizzy spell

Yesterday afternoon I was just about to have my daily hours rest, and was laying back in my reclining chair when the room started to turn around and around for about five seconds. This gave me quite a scare and I had to sit up very quickly, and I then felt OK. I have been fine since. What could have caused this to happen?

Vertebro-basilar insufficency.

In a nutshell, an arthritic neck, nipping off an artery to the brain, for a few seconds.
Very common in the elderly an no big deal.
get your blood pressure checked

sqad, you cant give a diagnosis from a monitor, and tell them its no big deal, dangerous .with all due respect

Annesquith, I do get my BP done every week or so, and it`s always good.
As anneasquith says get your blood pressure checked this happens to me occasionally as I have low blood pressure
could be an ear infection
