This is on behalf of my mum, i have posted before about this but its still ongoing and the docs dont help, she was on statins a while back and had to stop them due to muscle pain and other side effects, the doc told her it was ok to come off them as she is now self medicationg with benecol etc, but since taking the pills she is no longer sleeping at night, she may catch 1 to 2 hours if she is lucky, she has tried the herbal sleeping pills and they dont help either, she cant take many of the herbal ones as she has high blood pressure and cataracts, she wont take any prescribed medication to help her sleep as she is worried that she will get addicited to them and will return to how she is now when she came off of them, or will not be able to wean herself off them, any help would be appreciated as she is looking ill, she also has had bloods taken and everything there is normal. Thank you

Having sleeping problem is not normal. I think doctor should give med for this situation and you should know why it happen after all you done. If you think your doctor can't help your mom. Look for second opinion. Find doctor that will study about your mom medical history. Because having a bad sleeping pattern will worsen your mom condition
first get her checked to know what type of sleep disorder does she have. From symptoms i think it connects to some sort of sleep apnea. so, consult a sleep specialist and use a cpap device if necessary.
