Do light boxes really help with Seasonal Affective Disorder?

I probably have Seasonal Affective Disorder. Friends have recommended using a light box yet use of these have not been proved effective by NICE. What do people think?

Apparently these work well and have a similar effect to the lightbox- and will be much cheaper!
