This can measure the % of fat on your bodyand will tell you if you are in the healthy range. Weight is mainly down to diet and exercise has little effect but as woof says if you can convert fat to muscle you will look slimmer as muscle is much denser. What's wrong with your current weight?
I just want to be smaller And its really getting me down Have really thrown myself into exercise for a while now especially the last couple of weeks, taking at lease one if not two classes every day ..... I can see some changes as I am starting to get some definition in arms and abs but weight is unchanged at 13 stone and at only 5ft 4 that's just wrong Really depressing Eating senibly, watching calories, loads of water Help!!
I know it's a little soul destroying when it feels like you're putting so much effort in and not getting anywhere but as you say you have noticed some changes I think what your're doing is working. With it in mind that you are doing quite a lot of excercise I would agree with the above posters in that you will be losing fat but gaining muscle, which is heavier so it will seem you are not losing weight. I think if you keep going your hard work will pay off but it takes time. Ditch the scales and just go on how you feel.

For about a month in total, but more intensive exercise for the last 2. Classes are body pump, body combat, body conditioning, boxercise, body balance and zumba, plus yoga and some swimming (when I can fit it in) All classes are an hour - varying intensity as the names suggest, but equal balance between higher impact and conditioning types. If I swim it's 15-20 lengths of 50m pool, but mostly this is for relaxation or when i have less time. Today for example, have done one hour Zumba and tomorrow I will only swim, but Sunday is Body Pump then Body Balance .... nothing Monday and then tues Yoga, Wed Body Combat, Thurs Yoga and Fri Zumba.
Eating around 1400-1800 calories/day - no processed food, no added sugar, fruit, veg, wholemeal crackers, very little bread and occasional lean meat (chicken, some beef but only small amount) and some cheese (but low fat) No butter or other dairy really as not a fan. Really only drinking water and perhaps one or two die cokes in a week. Grazing on 50-60g of seeds, nuts and dried fruit during the day as snack.
