Have caught myself in the eye with a prong from a hairbrush, the white bit, which looks like its been bleeding. I can see out of it ok, but it looks like I have scary contact lenses in. Whats your suggestion please. Thanks

You can't be too careful with eyes - go to optician tomorrow...................but if vision affected or in pain go to A+E

I caught myself in the eye (not badly) and didn't do anything about it and ended up with an ulcer in it. It hurt like hell and was really irritating. I ended up going to the hospital (ours has a special A and E eye section) where I got drops for it which helped immediately. (PS - obviously I know that I am not Sqad.)

Don't wait for Sqad. Phone NHS direct or your out of hours doctor. Eyes are precious.

I poked myself in the eye with a sharp eye-pencil and the white on that half went blood red. It looked awful but went away without treatment in about 5 days. But if you'd rather be sure then good luck.

Thanks for all your answers. The doctor has given me some anti biotics eye drops. It did frighten me, what with the white of the eyeball being blood red. Looks a bit better as the days are going on. Will be more careful in future. lol
