Thanks mamya - men can get it, it seems (I've been reading the leaflet) - "do not take this if you are a man"....
Thank you for your thanks, even though I did not offer advice. Yes men can get it am sure the pot/cit will work quickly.
OK, if men got it as often as women get it there would be a cure by now....

O tisk mamya, it was milady offered me the HWB - see, you are joined at the hip ;-)

(sorry, ladya - thank YOU instead...)
Well girls....the commonest cause of cystitis in men is STD usually chlamydia or gonorrhoea.........and guess where they got it from?..........WOMEN.
Question Author
Nah sqad, dirty toilet seats, you know that... ;-)
boxy...LOL
Boxy...back in the 50´s it was always called the VD clinic and to me it will always remain so.

There was a Consultant who always asked the same question.

"If the vicar came in with a penile lesion, what tests would you do?"

"WR and Kahn sir"

"On whom" retorted the Consultant

"on the vicar of course" we all chanted.

With a big smile he would reply " No..........on the vicar´s wife" he replied. " because that is where the vicar caught it"

LOL......... memories eh!
any better ?

Morning, anne - yes, it does seem to be easing considerably, thank you - 2 sachets to go.
Perhaps he was a naughty vicar sqad. What about if you are gay, could a man catch it from a man or would he have to be bisexual. Does it hang about in your body ready to pounce because as you know I have been widowed for 18 months and too old at 84 to find another sexual liaison and have had it several times within the past year. In fact because I had it several times my GP arranged tests at the hospital. Nothing bad underlying I am glad to say but all the things suggested are what I do including cranberry juice, plenty of water, perfume free soap, and also the prof told me to eat some natural yoghurt every day, which I do. At the moment it seems to be staying away, fingers crossed. It and vertigo are the two things I hate the most.

Morning starby, it's not only sexual (unless you had honeymoon cystitis), it can be caused by infection (accident transfer from back to front, as it were) - scrupulous cleanliness in that area is called for, no deodorant sprays down there, just soap and water. That's my understanding.
star...LOL...a "naughty vicar?"..........NEVER ;-)

Syphilis or gonorrhoea if you were gay..........then one of the pair or their contacts would have to be either straight or bisexual.........see......it´s all you women´s fault.
Morning to you too boxy. That would explain it, but where the devil did it come from in the first place? And why doesn't it affect the back as well as the front? I have always wiped from bottom to top as they suggest as I cannot think of any other way to do it, it always seemed natural to me. And yet it still happens. And it is definitely something you don't want to have. Hope it goes away soon.♥
When in women its STD but for men its urunary infection.....it's still a mans world :)
*bottom to top*,star? Shouldn't that be top to bottom-or front to back...?
OMG Pasta now I am really confused. Yes that's it, I think, front to back. or whatever.
sqad - well Eve started it didn't she, and the blame has come down through the ages. But does it hang about in your body, you didn't answer that bit.
Question Author
I hope not, starby, I'm beating it this time!
star........yes.....chlamydia will "hang about" certainly syphilis will.....in fact most of the STDá will "hang about" if left untreated.
Question Author
'scuse me, all I have is cystitis, I can refer you to the GUM clinic if you wish...
