i have been experiencing pain in my right breast and it has definitely gotten bigger than the left one. it has always hurt but does more sound round the side. two weeks ago i went to see the dr who examined me. as she prodded around it hurt in a certain place, sort of where the cleavage is but then in a bit. when you press it now it really hurts. the other boob is hurting a bit too but just generally i think. anyway, i have been in so much pain, i sleep on my front and it really hurts then and when i take off my bra, my right boob in particular feels so heavy and hurts. i went back to docs again today as was so concerned. she didnt even examine me which i find incredible. she asked me if there was any redness or lumps to which i said no. my husband said that i should have asked if she wanted to look but i didnt think. my period is due this week so she said to see how if goes after that as it could be hormonal but it was the same two weeks ago! she said to just continue taking ibuprofen. i pushed to see someone private through company medical insurance so luckily i am going on monday. i just cannot believe how the doc dismissed it without even seeing it to, i am so upset.

Lofty...that is FAB..... Mediterranean has had unsettled weather for the past 10 days.
I best stay here then Sqad ;o) !
But sqad, we KNOW that we will have at least six months of glorious sunny weather to come, they haven't!!
neti.......yes I know.....but I don´t want to rub Lofty´s nose in it.

It is said that the UK has nine months of bad weather and three months of rain.;-)
We get very little rain in North Norfolk. The driest part of the UK and the sunniest - not always the warmest, but dry and sunny is just fine!! Cromer holds the record!!

So there!!!
neti....just remembered......there was a thread yesterday about where one could emigrate and live on a small salary.....and someone ( I think it was Jemisa...could be wrong) described the UK as having a temperate climate the whole year round.

I was too stunned to reply.
If I lived in the Med I I would have to spend the whole of July and August indoors - I just couldn't cope!!

Sorry nextqueen. Will stop chatting.

nothing has changed in two weeks. those two weeks were prior to my period when examined so cant see how it is period related. im not pressing and making bruises, i just press in a certain area quite deep and i then feel the pain. im scared to press and feel so certainly dont do too much of that.
I had mastitis (think that's how its spelt) my breasts were very swollen and sore to the touch, I think it is an infection in the tissue of your breasts, couldn't even hug my kids, I was given antibiotics to clear it up, could be that
nextqueen, I'm not trying to defend the GP but not every is a specialist in every topic, you can always ask to see another GP - and thankfully you have your private appointment coming up, which should reassure you. It may be something which feels really worrying for you but is routine to the GPs - so you are doing the right thing by seeking further advice. Let us know how you get on.

just to let you know that i got the all clear! what a relief. i went for a private mammogram and ultrasound scan and they didnt find anything. the pain is unexplained and i still have it. the doc said pain like this can be unexplained. Usually the C word doesnt give you pain but you never know and best to get it checked out. do you think i should pursue this further?
