Naming & Shaming

How about leaving the name of the poster in situ when a post is removed for being insulting, rude or deemed hurtful and unnecessary. Some Abers might think twice if they were going to be named and shamed.
Just a thought.

No soaps, that would be compounding the felony as it would appal even more people as time went by. Remove the post but leave the name.

to know what some one says can be really hurtfull, so I'd like to see who it was that sends a nasty or sarcastic answer, but not bothered about what they say really

I think the week long ban is sufficient, not being able to post for a long time gives the suspended user plenty of time to think about their behaviour

There would be a bit of a problem with a lot of the trolls names being pretty offensive on their own.

it would only increase the number of "anonymous newbies" who would register with the purpose to hurl abuse, there would be no shaming in that because we wouldnt be any the wiser to the identity of the troll

they have posted their comments on a public noticeboard for all to see...however offensive it may be...i very much doubt many would give a toss if their name was left next to an empty space...
