Messed up periods

Right, I am posting this on my gfs behalf.

Her periods are very irregular, she doesnt come on when she is supposed to, and when she does they last around 2 to 4 days. Sometimes although hardly ever she wil have a really heavy flow for weeks.

She will also sometimes be as late as 2-3 weeks, and has also been on twice in the same month (for example the cycle would stop and then start again from a few days to a week later) anyone know of any advice for her?

Yes. She should go to the GP and have some checks done to make sure her homones are not out of wack.

Is she taking a contraceptive pill?

The wrong type of pill can cause irregular hormnal activity which affects periods - get her to speak to her GP.

No, she was doing but stopped taking it because we want a kid and it was surpressing her apitite.

hi i would say she hs a hormone inbalance.. but she needs to go to docs as you have been trying for a baby for a while they will do some blood tests and you will have to go for a semen test too then i shoul say you will be reffered to fertility specialist.... that is what has happened to me.......also she could try and change her diet as that plays havok with periods .... tell her to cut down on bread and crisps anything with wheat or yeast drink plenty water and exercise and try and eat high fibe diet..... i was irregular and this has helped me loads
