I am running windows vista on my laptop. I have WiFi and my provider is 'TalkTalk'. I downloaded Skype and created an acount. However, when I try to sign in I can't. Skype saying cannot connect. When I downloaded Skype did not get toolbars etc, just skype.exe and a form telling me to create an account, which I did. Emailed skype and they gave me a lot of gobbledegook which I cannot understand. I dsabled widows firewall while downloading. Anyone had this prob? If so, how did you solve it please?

this happened to me dylan..... i went back to the skype page and all in all downloaded 4 times before i finally got it installed...

Thank you for your answers, very grateful. Pixi iv'e tried two or three times no sucess. Great answer. Why can't the daft pricks set up a telephone 'helpline' like talktalk and everyone else??? gave up and stuck 'hisbobness' on the cd player instead.unlike skype I can understand HIS ramblings lol
