Hi I wonder if any one could tell me what this is. Last night, just out of the blue, I started seeing something floating in front of my left eye. It looks like a cobweb(the only way I can describe it) and when I move my eye it obviously moves too. Does anyone have any idea what this could be as its a bit un-nerving. I am diabetic and am wondering if it has any connection to this.

Hello again, just an update. I have just had a phone call from the eye clinic and I have an appointment on Monday at 12.45 pm. So I didn't have to wait for too long, which was good. Will let you all know the results (hopefully will all be OK) when I get them.
Thanks for the update.

Well, I have been and had my eyes examined, and boy, what a really thorough job was done. Really impressed!!!! Anyway, a lump of vitreous jelly has come away from the retina, but no other damage can be seen; no retinal detachment, nothing. Which is good news. Apparentley, I also have floaters in my other eye too, but I cant see them.Have to keep an eye-hahaha- on things and if there is any flashing or partial blindness, must get to opticians within 24 hours. But all in all a good result I think.
mumsie...thanks for the update.
