What can i do?I feel like i hate my life

Don't know what to do anymore i feel like i literally hate my life,I was diagnosed with agoraphobia/depression,because of this i feel that people are embarrassed of me i hardly get invited out so i sit in my room everyday doing nothing i can't even leave the house without having a panic attack or talk to anyone without having one,I've tried to get on medicine before but the doctor wouldn't give it to me because he says I'm to young and doesn't want to get me hooked on anything but that was like a year ago,so I've been asking my mom to take me back to try again because i don't want to be like this anymore but every time i ask she says she's busy that she can't do it,I'm starting to feel like she doesn't care,so what can i do to overcome this on my own?

Its hard I know but the only way to overcome the phobia is to face it by starting with "Baby steps". Stand on your front step for 10 mins taking deep breaths,repeat this.next try to walk to your front gate and stay there for 5 mins. Also have a google for self help/support groups in you area. A Bach Rescue Remedy for nerves is good. Good luck.

Star I think it's brilliant that you've taken the first steps to be in control of your life - that is an extremely brave thing to do - it's a pity your mother is unable to help you but how about getting in touch with Church, doctors or an organisation that offers support to those needing help (sorry don't know any US ones) -with the help of a 'support buddy' you have the opportunity to get out there and share the world - you could also offer to help with a charity - nothing too dramatic to begin with but it would be a start.I really, really wish you luck - please stay in touch and let us know your progress.
star - because of your condition, it is really easy to see everything, and I mean everything, in your life as negative, which includes the apparent (although not necessarily deliberate) abandonment of you by your friends.
You do need some profesional help, so call your doctor and ask him to visit you, and explain how desparate you feel, and ask for some help, which may not need medication, but could include other areas of support.

What has helped me overcome lifelong negative feelings is EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique. It is a self-help technique and there are also many professional therapists There is a great deal of information about this on the internet. Briefly the method involves 1. Acknowledging your problem 2. Affirming that you love and accept yourself anyway 3. Tapping on a series of accupuncture points. This breaks the energy of the negative thoughts. Go to www.eft-courses.co.uk for the points to tap on. Also www.theefthub.com is a big site and will help. NOTE 1. It works Note 2 You do not have to believe in it for it to work. Some things eg Fear of heights, spiders, lifts etc may be got rid of very quickly. Others can take some time and may require the help of a professional, but keep at it. Good luck
