Lymph Nodes in groin

going to the doctors tomorrow, I have an enlarged lymph node in my groin which is very painfull and hurts when walking, It's been up fpr 3 days now, and It's the size of a kidney bean, can any one give any advice to what may be going on or how I can stop it hurting?

How can you stop it hurting?...Ibuprofen 400mgs.

What could be going on?..Solitary painful lymph node....almost certainly an infection with possible abscess.

Had something similar a few years back - turned out to be an infection and was cured with a course of antibiotics.
