baggy trousers

i followed some young men down the street today,they were wearing what i take to be 'fashionable' trousers, they looked like large todlers with full nappies, in the sixties and seventies young men were told that the really tight jeans they wore would affect their fertility, no risk of that now, they certainly let the air circulate, but i think they must feel really uncomfortable with all that cloth hanging round their knees.

I'm always confused about the trousers that are pulled down so low that they intentionally show off the back of guys briefs. Are these the ones you mean Cecil? Strange blokes' undies are not on the top of my list of things I like to view.

I noticed something weird on holiday - the young lads were wearing what I'd call swim shorts on the beach, baggy flowery things etc., but you could see from the waistbands that they were all wearing underpants underneath. What's that about?!

even more horrible was a pregnant young woman wearing low cut trousers and high cut top, leaving her bare strech marked huge belly exposed to veiw, put me off my fish and chips.

I cant fathom how they stay up, they appear to be halfway down over their a$$es, I always think they are about to fall to the ground!!

Dreadful image but I suppose they and their mates think its cool.

Really ugly I reckon. Does the front bit show as well or do they keep that well covered? Could they be charged with indecent exposure?

I despise this "style" of fashion..what on earth makes guys think that girls wanna see their boxers!! Put it away ya just look silly!!!!

these are "prison chic". When young men are locked up in the USA they take away their belts (in case they try to hang themselves); so their trousers hang down a bit. So kids on the street try to dress the same way to make themselves look well hard. And manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon, making trousers that exaggerate these characteristics.

Plenty of fashionable clothes through the centuries have been uncomfortable, so that's nothing new: high heels, wasp waists, 3 foot high wigs... People put up with it because they want to look cool.

Ach, I'm sure we all wore ridiculous things when we were younger - I was just looking at photos of me as a poodle permed 80s teenager. Let them get on with it :)
