I have been married to my husband for four years and have a fantastic relationship with him - my true soul mate. I joined a new company a few months ago and have found myself attracted to one of the men here. Now please dont get me wrong i would NEVER do anything but just find it so confusing to suddenly have an attraction to someone who is not my husband. I suppose i dont have a real question, just wanted to know that other people out there get a strong attraction like this without looking for anything else. I have quite a flirty nature - this has always been the case - so im just worried that this guy will get the wrong impression. Im sure this is probably completely nothing but its so alien to me i thought id write it down!
Argh! I am well aware this probably makes no sense! :)

It doesn't mean you think any less of your fella or that you have to get it on with this new chap.
It all comes down to your moral strength and respect for your hubby vs. this little flutter over a bit of new totty.
And one more thing, as the old saying goes... don't screw the crew!

things like this always ends in tears, attraction, flirting, perhaps the odd drink after work, then you are heading into very dangerous territory, you may trust yourself, but if you have a flirty nature then this guy will pick up on it and respond. Suggest you don't do anything other than back off, that is if you value and love your husband, and seems you do. It may be natural to some, but i have seen this situation with friends, and it never ended well.
em10, to be fair, not all men are animals driven only by their todges, I've worked with plenty of girls with whom I flirted and them with me, but nothing more, and a lot of the time I was single too. It can be really good for the ego to have a mutual flirt. If anonie-mouse makes sure this line isn't crossed it doesn't have to be crossed. She may well get called a dangle-tease (you know what I mean without the swearing) but hey ho. Just as long as it's under control it's all good!
another good one is "don't bang the gang!" I've heard them all, I've worked in some pretty professionally incestuous places!

Thank you for making me laugh DT, really needed that.
I think i will speak to my husband, which i know might sound totally mad to some of you but we are so close and can tell each other anything. Ill tell him im attracted to this other guy and it startles me, i will also assure him nothing will happen.
Then come monday i'll go for a business only approach and be more guarded with the other guy.
