Death! I feel I had a near miss with the grim reaper earlier - I was vacuuming as usual on a Saturday and didnt notice that the Hoover had 'sucked up' the power cord !! I only knew after the hoover started to make some dull noise that I checked and most of the cable was getting 'chewed' down to the bare wire !! I managed to turn off the machine just in time, can I put tape around the damaged cord or should I just get a new Hoover ? Have you had any experiences like this ? I years ago while driving along a B road, a huge tanker drifted into my path and I had nowhere to swerve to he missed a head on collision with me in a 'hare's breath', I almost drowned during a life saving course when I was at school too - my life flashed before my eyes !! Perhaps I was a cat in my previous life, I now only have 5 lives left !!
I did this to my vacuum cleaner a few years ago too, gave me a real fright!.....but I took it to my local electrical repair shop and they fitted a new power cord for me, don't think I'd risk taping it up!......a bit risky!...........
Ron, it is a vacuum cleaner and it is a Hoover lol.....I think you're right Welsh, safest to take the darn thing over to my local electrician to fix.
Boxtops, is it really 'Hair's breath' ? I had no idea...lol.....I've just invented a new phrase perhaps...hehe :)
Thanks all !
