Is it possible to buy a basic anti-biotic like Amoxycillin on-line anywhere do you think?

Thanks for all your advice yestereday everyone ... think it had just laid me a bit low and I was in a quandry about what to do and knew the anti-b's idea was a daft one.
Anneasquith - yes, plenty of people who would come with me!
I think I have turned the corner now with it healing and think I probably panicked and maybe it isn't an ulcer anyway ... just the blister went a bit manky. The pain did start to build up last night as we bathed it in salted water but it died off again and wasn't too bad in the night.
I have been putting Savlon on it methyl, thanks. Using the spray stuff in a little can when it was too painful to touch and the cream spread on a plaster at other times. There is definitely no splinters or paint etc,. in it thank goodness.
I shall soak it again tonight when hubby gets home to try and soften the "crusty bits" (sorry if that's too much info.,!!!) and hope for further improvement.
Really want it healed by 24th when I go on holiday ... don't really want to be dealing with it whilst in the wilds of Scotland!

If you really want something to put on it without the advice of your GP speak to your local pharmacist.

Also, if you have had it for 6 weeks now and on Monday it was bad enough for you to consider buying on line anti b's, do you think it will be cleared up in the next 9 days ready for your trip?

Im with you on that Pink, this is now an ulcer for sure and should be treated properly. A couple of days ago I asked a visiting GP.... What is the definition of an ulcer? he replied "loosely speaking, an ulcer is a wound that has not healed within 6 weeks" if this is not healing, I know Bettek says it is, but if it isn't, she could well be in hospital during her holiday.

Ulcer....loss of surface epithelium with concavity affecting any site of epithelium...e.g skin, gastro intestinal tract.

The length of time of lesion doesn't necessarily define it as an ulcer, as an abrasion can take weeks to heal without it being an ulcer.
