most likely cause of bluey/grey/purple nail beds...?

they are this colour at the bottom for about half th enail...then theres kind of pale line across and then they go a kind of dark mauve colour, a thin line of it, just before the nail

its not the cold...as they were the same in the shower...
I know a lack of oxygen causes fingernails to go blue, one of the reasons they take your nail varnish off in hospital. However i am sure there must be other causes

If you are not short of breath and no ankle swelling ....then forget it.

i have no other symptoms that i can think of...i am not a particularly healthy person in general so i am used to not feeling that great...so its hard to tell...
not sure when this started, ive only just really noticed it though

i have mild asthma, but dont feel tight chested...ive taken ventolin an no change...

i do feel a bit tired and weak....but thats not all that uncommon for me...

i take a good multivitamin every day - berocca.
Perhaps a blood test for anaemia might rule out an unlikely culprit.

strangely, eating seems to have made them go a bit pinker...i only had a piece of quiche... weird.
