Does anyone know how damaging are the various recreational drugs to your liver?  I have heard that marijuana and amphetamines are not damaging however many doctors do not know much about hep c, so i am unsure what to believe. If anyone has any books or websites to recomend about hep c it woud be much appreciated

I think you will find that continued use of ANY drug is dangerous to the body.

Here are the Facts

Drugs are a form of escaping from yourself. Know the facts before taking any drug.... Even pain killers.

Is it really escapism Bob(?). Of course it can be, however I dont have any problems to escape from and find that on occasion drugs can help you explore many amazing facets of your emotional world and allow you to see things from very different perspectives. I would aggree that you should definately be informed and careful, but saying drugs are a form of escapism isnt really a fact...is it?

Actually it is escapism, and any emotions and feelings you may experience are false, and temporary. They are chemically created and any plus effects are followed by the 'down' effect of the drug.

Been there done it, know all about the pros and cons.

The reason we take drugs is to feel different,(implying a want/need for change) this change is not permanent nor reality = 'escapism'

Question Author

Why are the emotions and feelings false? All feelings are temporary and chemically created.

Been there, done that, doesn't mean know all about it.

Just because you want to feel different for a couple of hours doesn't mean that you want to escape. What you want is to experience something exciting and interesting, like when you go bungyjumping, sky diving or just trekking through a jungle. Would you call that escaping too? They too aren't permanent.
