Nits

The kids have somehow been infested with the dreaded nits. I am going to zap them with chemicals but anyone got any other tips (my daughter has hair down to her bum so it's going to difficult to get thm all first time). Thanks

Hi tezmand, in the end it ws only two of them that had nits. I only found one live one on my daughter originally (the one with the long, thick hair) and she was crawling with them! Boy #2 had a few babies but the others didn't have any. I do check them regularly but them nits are tricky blighters! The bathroom looked like a bomb had hit it by the time I had checked them all and myself.

oh sherrard hun, try rubbing tea tree oil into there hair or get the wilkos spray on andleave tea tree oil conditioner, i use it on madam and it works wonders. Also try getting rosemary oil and mixing it with teh conditioner teh lice hate it just as much as they hate tee tree oil and conditioner, and it dosnt smell as offensive lol. if its any comfort i had tehm nigh on constantly from the age of 6 to 19 :(

They don't much like very hot water and I think this helps keep them away but once you have them it zapping required.

You need to come up with some highly compact hair styles to reduce hair contact with her friends.
