male circumcision, i am aware cultural/religous groups have newborn males circumcised , but it looks quite brutal! are the babies sedated prior to the procedure ? TIA
but it's just mutilation of a child that has no say in it puss, that surely cannot be thought of as right by any fair minded person? My wife is Jewish but none of her sons are circumcised and there is a growing revolt against it in the Jewish community.
i'm definately against children being done for the sake of religion!!!! No No.
But as adults especially for my husband, it was necessary in his 40's to have it done. he was fine , no pain and out of hosp next day. He was rushed in in emergency late at night.
My OH had penile cancer at the age of 50, he hadn't been circimsized, he survived after two surgical procedures, but it was very scary at the time!...that was 12 years ago now, and thankfully, he's fine!.........
I do find it amazing how so many women are experts on foreskins and circumcision, I am glad my parents didn't subscribe to you unsupported views. I daresay if a few chaps opined that female circumcision was a good thing and that women weren't very good at vaginal hygiene warfare would break out.
not at all jomifl, I have never believed in circumcision for the sake of it!.......was just pointing out that men as they get a little older need to to aware of the problem!...........I didn't realise, but it's a common problem in the over 50s, and can kill if not addressed quickly enough, thankfully, my OH was diagnosed just in time!.............
I can remember seeing my brother being "done" I was about 6-7 and he was about 1-2. He was not lying down but standing in front of the doctor who knelt down to him while he did it. Don@t remember any crying though.
ha ha jom, my bloke actually agrees but I guess because he has had it done at a young age. In fact most of my exes had it done when young and through no other reason but cleanliness, obviously with their parents wishes. I can only remember one ex not being circumcised and in my opinion they look weird, but then I'm used to circumcised......god this post makes me sound like a hussy lol
welshl, its amazing that there are an awful lot of men who do not know how to check themselves for lumps in the testicles or around their pe-nis ( dont know if the Ed's check covers that word) - bit liek women feeling their breasts.....
and very little "education" seems to be out there. I know one friend who unfortunately had to become a "Vatican choirboy" - almost too late for him
