Side effects to herbal remedies?

Something Ive taken to relieve common cold symptoms is causing me horrific pain high in the stomach, I cant even sit.

Ive taken Echinacea Cold & flu relief - 2 tablets twice a day (past 2 days)
Vitamin C + Zinc - 1 tablet with a meal (past 2 days)

Anyone know what could cause extreme abdominal pain/distended stomach?

The cold symptoms have dried up so they work in that way !

maybe a side effect, or indigestion or maybe a puled muscle or chest infection?

Why do you you think that your abdominal symptoms are secondary to your "herbal remedies"?

How long have you had your "abdominal pains"?
hat brings them on?....What if anything relieves them?

Just because its suddenly appeared and I'm taking pills I dont normally take.
Normally all is well. Seemed obvious to me but then maybe not.
Havent done anything else differently from normal.

Cant get relief from it, Ive tried peppermint tea

Monitor the situation over night and if there is no improvement in the morning, then see your GP.

How are you feeling now? Could it be anything you've eaten?

I had similar pain with an ulcer/gallstones so take care and get seen if it carries on x

Hi Jenna just the same, been massaging my tum but still in agony, its just sore everywhere now.

How it it now? Any temperature or racing pulse or bowel or other symptoms like vomiting?

If you are still in so much pain you can't even sit then I'd be at least calling the emergency doctor or A&E for advice in case you need to be seen by someone.

Have you taken anything for it? Is anyone there with you?

Sorry Jenna I logged off and went to bed.
It had settled by this morning so Im guessing whatever it couldve been simple indigestion or has settled because I havent taken any more herbal pills.

Damn cold has returned two-fold tho! lol

Sometimes if a pill hasn't been washed down properly it can lodge in wiggly bits of oesophagus and cardiac sphincter and hurt.

Weeal I also took these herbal pills and had indegestion so bad it felt like a heart attack.
