Hot face?

Hi, just been on phone with my mum who,s concerned that her face is realy hot , she has had a cold for over a week but her face as been feeling hot for longer than that. Any suggestions. Id be realy gratefull.

I could be an allergy, or (as in my case) its a sign of high blood pressure.  Ask her did she eat anything she would not normally eat eg peppers, strawberries etc.  I would like to point out that I am certainly not a doctor, so maybe I should not even be giving an answer as I might send you both off on the wrong track completely, as the other guy said, its best to go to the Doctor.

Thanks guys, Iv more or less begged my mum to go to the doctors but she realy realy hates going, I will insist she goes,She does have high blood pressure but when she took her bp today it was normal.
