He's having his nuts done next week.

China, if you're about, can you recommend an inexpensive hotel nearby where I can park the motor and get a taxi in? Admission time is 7:30am.

For everyone else, wish us luck... X

I'm about, what's your budget?

The Grafton is right opposite but I think pricey. Have you not asked them to book you a hotel for the night before?
I seem to recall that when I was booking hotels for people coming a long way for the night before surgery we used the St Giles.

Gosh no, I didn't realise they could do that. We want to avoid congestion charge as we are not sure how that works. We don't mind paying £15-20 each way in a taxi.
Maybe try and get a hotel with an ice dispenser - he might need it.

Good luck to both of you - good job they don't de-nut humans coz sewing them back on again would be a tad more complex.

I send all the very best to the both of you, in my thoughts ♥

Good luck NoM and Bobjugs - London is it?
Good luck NoM, OH had the snip last year, could never think he would be brave enough for a reversal! Hope it all goes well for you both.
Well when I was doing it and we required someone to be in for surgery at silly o'clock the following day who lived quite far away then we would book a hotel for them if needed, usually at the St Giles (link that didn't work but just google St Giles on Tottenham Court Road). If they were coming in for an overnight stay then we'd only pay for the patient but if they were coming in for day surgery then we'd have to book a double room as day surgery won't let you leave unless you have someone to collect you.

I'm relatively sure it hasn't changed so give the PA a call tomorrow. I've left a message for her and will let you know if she gets back to me before I go to bed.
Good luck -hope it is successful as it means so much to you.
The congestion charge is easy.

Google "pay congestion charge" and the Transport For London website comes up.

Click on "PAY WITHOUT REGISTERING"

You type in your car registration, and pay £10.

Then you can drive into the CC zone.
Good luck to both of you, from us - fingers and everything very crossed x
Good wishes to you both. Not sure where your going but if London we use either Travelodge. or Lastminute.com secret hotels.

Thank you everyone, particularly China and JJ...very informative.
hey, you dont know me, but im ttc too so good luck in this important step on your journey x
Good luck to bobs xx
you don't really want to park in central London, though, JJ. There are Novotels and Premier Inns and things around the stations but I don't know about car parks.
Just realised I haven't actually said good luck!
