Having been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat I have to take Warfarin every day I am on 23mg per week & am on target after a weekly bloodtest. Began course mid January. Have now suffered from shortness of breath especially at night so for that have just started Digoxin. I also find I am lacking in energy & my legs ache & have slight swelling in lower legs, the tablets are also upsetting my stomach. In addition I take blood pressure tablets & omepraxole for IBS
Just really need reassurance that given time this will all settle down.

Give that combination at least 6 weeks for your body to get accustomed to the new regime.

Have they mentioned giving you a cardioversion birdie? Mr mac was the same as you, the AF, warfarin, digoxin and breathlessness. He had a cardioversion done in November and he's had a new lease of life - says it's the best he's felt in years! If they suggest it, go for it and don't worry about it, it took minutes and he was totally unaware of it.
Thanks to bednobs,rowanwitch,Sqad,slaney & karenmac60.
slaney is correct on how the dosage is taken, & I discussed cardioversion with the heart consultant who was not happy to do it his reason being that it needed to be done in the very early stages, but I think its more like my age was against me (77), he also says that often it is done & you still have to take warfarin.
Thanks Sqad for your encouragement.
