Creased Earlobe Sqad ...
16 Answers
Wonder if Sqad or anyone can give some advice. I have been on 20mg statin daily and my cholesterol is now approx 4.6. I have noticed that I have a creased earlobe which can apparently be a sign of heart disease. Would it be a good idea to go to the doc, considering I am on statins, or would the statins counteract any heart disease ?

Obviously I have no knowledge of any of this, but I had heard about it too, in relation to Hadrian, I think

My OH's consultant who did his heart by pass said definitely that there is a connection for some people who have the crease in the ear lobe to artery problems/heart disease. OH's ears have been creased in the lobe for many years now and we have noticed others who have similar and have heart disease too....
Looks like the research is out there....fairly whacky site but the do list their references

jno...I realise that you were not trying to convince me :-)...........so many myths in medicine and some an be alarming.
It is not surprising that people with creased earlobes develop or tend to develop or may develop heart disease as heart disease is an age related condition.....the longer that you live, the more chance of you having heart disease with or without creased earlobes.
It will keep some young doctor busy with a research project.
