Am proud of you -- you are doing really well. Sincerely Brenda.
well done to you, stick with it, nothing to do with being virtuous, £7 pound for a pack of ciggies is bonkers and it will only get worse. put your ciggy money towards a holiday x
Keep up the good work. Yes, the novelty of stopping might be poking its ugly head and now it's the staying stopped. Just give yourself no option of ever having another cigarette, imagine walking on the top of a snowy mountain breathing in the pure fresh air and whenever the urge comes go and brush your teeth. I stopped nearly 7 years ago and I've never regret it for a second but I do know it's hard.

:o) Thank you both....just what I needed! I'm in for surgery next week so really need to do this, I even managed a night at the pub with out caving in! Just getting bored of being good all the time lol.

well done keep it up, nearly 8 years for me now and still sometimes think of them, but will never start again, look at your bank account in a few weeks, and you will say, im so pleased i packed up. then treat yourself.

keep at it divegirl I stopped pre surgery 5 years ago so glad now I did never looked back. Stick at it you will never regret it.
Yay! Well done :D It's been a few years for my mum and she still thinks about it but the cons waaaay outweigh the pros. Not to offend anyone but she can't believe she smelled the way she did for all those years! She can't even stand my dad anymore because he still smokes! It's things like this that will make it easier xxx
nice one Lisa! Keep it up :-)

I managed to quit for 6 months, but sadly I caved and now fully back on them. Don't do a "me", keep at it xxx
Is cazz right here. Is it as much as £7 for a pack of fags. I thought that they were about £5 something. I think that you can get them online a bit cheaper.
Well done. Be proud of yourself.
I stopped in 1960!!!!
Would anyone care to work out how much £.p I have saved so far, and more importantly, where is it.
Proud of ya, Lisa, keep at it.

Hi, like I've said before the money has to be the biggest motivator...Wak can you imagine just how mush you would have spent over the years....just doesn't bare thinking about!
My one problem is now. I do appear to have become pretty reliant on my e-cig thingy but it's better than the real thing I suppose!

Well done Divegirl.... and I have everything crossed that your op goes well too
well done dg...................boo 6 months , now that was good, why did you relapse ?
well done to you. Try to keep going :>)
Keep going - I suspect the reliance on the E-Fag will taper down (that's the theory anyway).

Good luck for next week, if only we could bottle your positive attitude we'd make a fortune - quite inspiring

d xx
9 days - you are truly amazing - keep it up and pop the money away - hells teeth you could by Harrods come Christmas - Well done xx
Well done you - I stopped almost 4 years ago and don't regret it for a moment. As someone said earlier - I can't believe how smelly I must have been!! I am now a very virtuous ex-smoker who can't now stand the smell of fags!!
