Optician in Manchester

Can anyone recommend a good optician in Manchester please?  Preferably in Withington, Fallowfield, Rusholme, campus, or city centre.  I'd prefer not to go to Specsavers etc.

I couldn't recommend Optical Express highly enough (It's at 74 Cross Street, Manchester City Centre - at the town hall end of the street). They're not the cheapest for glasses but are very cheap for contact lenses. But the best thing is the opticians themselves. They do every test under the sun as routine and take pictures of the inside of your eye to compare each time you go. I've been to loads of other places and none is as thorough as Optical Express. It all feels very clinical and the opticians always seem to be more interested in checking the health of your eyes than trying to flog you products you don't need. Hope this is helpful...
