Rainbow
Having been a real fan of this when I was a child, I recently watched some downloaded clips. Obviously at the age of four these things didn't quite register, but was it deliberate that:
Bungle was so "wet"?
Zippy was such a bully?
George was so delightfully camp?
I just get the feeling now that the producers were using the characters as their own means of expression for their little in-jokes? I can't imagine for a second that TV execs would get away with anything like that nowadays. Incidentally, I used to work with a bloke who not only looked like Bungle, but had all his characteristics.

Markieboy - for the sake of my happy childhood memories and innocent thoughts back then, i wish to continue to believe that that "genuine episode" with the banana skin counting and the twangers is a total fake. I know it's not.... but help me to believe! PLEASE! :-D :p
I asked on here about the "rude" Rainbow that you can down load and it turns out it was a christmas party tape not for broadcast. see http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Film-and-TV/Question101053.html
It's also got the link to see the tape.
