While at work today my boss had been out buying her daughter a brightly coloured container to put her SCOOBE DOOS in ( i think thats how its spelt ) The way she was discribing these SCOOBE DOOS or whatever they are, is'nt the SCOOBE DOO I know, the Scoobe Doo dog!!!!...  I didn't ask, I didn't want to embarrass myself and feel a fool. Can anyone enlighten me.

Another thing what on earth is a CHAV? I keep hearing and seeing in the news and papers, but I have'nt got a clue what they are on about!

scoobies are laces made of bright coloured plastic, that you make shapes with, they sell them in poundland!

I don't know where you're from but I'm from Cambridgeshire and scoobies are the 'in' thing at my sons secondary school and yes even the boys are doing them!!.  As spammylou said they are long bits of coloured plastic that they twist together in a very complicated way (or it seemed complicated to me when my son tried to show me) and they make things like key holders etc.  Woolworths also sell them but for more than a pound and with beads and things included in the packet.

chavs are also known as pikeys, bams, neds, townies.  You'll know them when you see them.  Not all are low intellect, I have to say, there are a fair few at my uni and they do know their stuff...but it doesn't stop them from being common, narrow minded, loud and aggressive.  Watch an episode of Footballer's Wives, Trisha or the new series of Big Brother.  I can guarentee that the vast majority in the latter will be chavs.

Didn't know about scoobies;  must get some as they might help me find my keys when scabbling around for them at the bottom of my handbag.   I did know what a chav was though but I can see the link is going to give me an even better insight to chav living.

i thought scooby do's were a scouse thing but maybe not. i'm a teacher and they drive me mad. the girls just sit there weaving. very odd. better than them stabbing eachother I suppose. x

hi, im a college student and I found out what scoobiedous or "scoobies" are 3 days ago and my friend tought me how to make them they are pieces of plastic string which can be woven into a bracelet and keyrings and aprently they came out years ago as a craze and now they have came back into fashion they are pretty cool

ive always thought chavs to be those people who think they are so cool and think there hard up
