Without wishing to encroach on any delicate matters, it is a fact that muscle weighs more than fat by volume. In a programme of excercise and diet it is very possible that the muscle gain initially cancels out the fat loss, but this should not deter you as the long term health benefits and fitness are worth it. The weight will diminish as soon as the right balance has been reached.
True true TRUE landie. The scales may say you're weighing more, but exercise and a healthy diet will have you looking and feeling better. If you don't look AND feel better, then you're on the wrong diet. The FEEL better bit is probably more important! :-)
Sometimes when people seek to lose weight and start exercising, they gain muscle and they end up gaining weight, except its just not fat. You'll want to look for exercises that are right for your body and something so that youre not overdoing yourself all at once.
