Pain on sneezing

Just recovered from chest infection and dreadful cough and now after antibiotics for 7 days I have a pain in my left side /back on coughing or sneezing. Is this a kidney? It doesn't hurt unless I sneeze or cough. Any idea what it could be?

If it was a kidney problem it would hurt all the time.
Sneezing and coughing are pretty violent activities and it sounds like a pulled muscle to me.
No doubt Sqad will be along shortly to shoot my theory down in flames

Hot bath & pain relief pills of your choice would probably help.

I did pull all my stomach muscles and also had condochondritis before the chest infection/cough came along. Not sure if this is linked?

This doesn't sound like anything to do with the kidney,being almost certainly muscular in origin. Monitor the situation fo a couple of weeks and if it doesn't resolve, a chest X Ray may be necessary
