Sneezing My Head Off

Help! I was out at a party last saturday night, and suddenly, out of the blue, had a massive attack of sneezing! My head became fuzzy and my eyes were streaming and i have been like that for a week ! Its not a cold as i dont feel l have one, but every now and again i feel ok then i go back into sneezing mode, nose is extremely itchy almost painful and this morning my head feels bad and i am so bunged up! The symptoms appear to ease off around lunch time, but is worse in the morning, i wondered if it was a type of hayfever but have taken all sorts of antihistamines and nothing is working, i had a seriously bad sinus infection earlier this year where i had to go to hospital and have my sinuses drained as i was in so much pain....and i after i was prescribed a nasal spray called beclometasone....what else can i take to relieve this itchy, sneezy face of mine? I have never suffered from hayfever in my life before.

Been doing exactly the same roughquest. For the last week, been having uncontrollable sneezing fits......again mainly in the morning.

I've put it down to either a particular variety of grass, tree or flower in bloom or just that everything's so dusty because of the dry conditions.

Hayfever is something that can just come on at any time in your life. I've had about 3 bad bouts of it in my near 40 years but most times i'm ok.

Just as well as i'm a gardener !!!

Thanks H! so it must be hayfever then, i am on the phone a lot at work and its embarrasing sneezing at everyone! lol. i have been told the older one gets the worse hayfever gets ? Im beginning to think that i may be afflicted from now on....boo hoo.... it reminds me of a bad hangover but without the alcohol previous! my head feels bad this morning.... waaaaaagh....

Take Piriton- an anti histamine.

Thanks scarlett, have taken Clarityn, Allereze, Piriton, Benedryl and all have not worked, Piriton was good though in the fact it made me have a wicked sleep!
