There is nothing wrong is being a broken record asking the same question again if you're not satisfied with the answer. Atleast you're being true to yourself.
You see the sub-conscious mind is like fertile land... where we sow the seeds of our thoughts/behavior/ideas... Now as much as we'll water our thoughts, as much as they'll grow... Like in your case, you've watered the panic thoughts.
Its good to keep busy and you should find good company, but where in life is got so bad that you have to run from your own self :)
If I tell you to not think about an elephant, your mind will first think about elephant only! So if you obsess over NOT thinking about panicking thoughts, that'll all that you'll do...
There is a meditative breathing technique - where one quickly inhales and exhales a lot of time.. to create a void in the head for like 15min., if done properly.. when a disciple encounters such a technique he says "wow! that's such a great shortcut! "
But that technique has such a big side-effect which only the master could've told the disciple... Because of quickly inhaling and exhaling a lot of time, and stopping the thoughts FORCEFULLY for some time - the thoughts then GUSH in like anything after that ! So in actuality - the disciple is getting further away from the state of no-mind... :D
The only way to disseminate fear is to face it...
Whats making your mind have those silly thoughts? Undo that from the root.. rather than believing that you're a broken machine of a human body that is just having silly thoughts naturally !
Anyways, I'm against the modern day "councelling" - it is so mechanical ! Like you're just labelled "not-fit" in your mind! it creates such a victim-mindset !
I hate it all...
I'm even against pills for everything ! destroys the liver.. and one relies too much on them... its just like that breathing technique ! :D
Making you feel better for a while... but the problem is actually never dealt with...
