Every 4 weeks I have to have my blood tested and the results are written in a book that I keep myself.
I've noticed just recently that the result called CRP is higher than I think it should be, I think it's supposed to be 5.
In January it was 12, last month it was 11 but this month it is 16.
Anybody know if it's something I should be worried about?

The actual levels of CRP are not that important..........the important thing is the trend. An upward trend shows an inflammatory process and this may go up over a period of time to 50.

Yours are nothing to worry about.

Thanks Hopkirk. From what I understand, it could be inflammation or infection so I don't know whether I need to speak to someone about it.
I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis but it doesn't seem inflamed at the moment.

Ok thanks sqad.
My ESR goes up and down with my arthritis, it's always raised but it changes (had similar blood monitoring for meds).

Last one I can remember was seeing it was 67 when I was in hospital when my gallbladder went infected.
