NON-stick VELCRO!!
Got an odd problem for you all! I had my Discovery valeted last weekend - outside and in. All very nice and back to showroom standard etc..BUT I also bought a new boot "liner" for it - which is attached by VELCRO.
Problem is - the "polish" they used has made it SO shiny that the VELCRO wont stick! Presumably the polish used was a silicone type - so my question is - what do I use to undo the polish so that the VELCRO does stick?
I have tried Ether meth - no luck. Also "sticky stuff remover" - still no luck!!
Any suggs would be gratefully received - please and thank you!!

I sometimes have similar problems when I've used FlashDash to clean up the dashboard surround. I find that the best way to rmove the silicone polish is to press a small piece of something very sticky, like Duck Tape or heavy duty Sellotape onto the area that you want to stick something to. Press it on and peel it off. It may need two or three goes.

Sadly - been there and tried it first! No joy. I just wish I knew what kind of polish they had used SO liberally .....they even applied the stuff to the car mats - and the pedals would you believe! So much so that when I got into the car - my feet were slipping all over the place. I had to stop on the verge further down the road and get some "grit" on the soles of my shoes in order to drive safely! Obviously a "newby" valet did the job - even the windows copped it - and nothing sticks anywhere!!
