Ive just got a few finishing touches but it is basically completed.

It has cost approximately £20 to build using all recycled timber.

Now I have to build a run, that will be the most expensive part as I will need to buy the chicken wire new.

Even the Hens will be recycled, saved from slaughter and put back into service thanks to: http://www.bhwt.org.uk/

And what will the current occupants think of the new arrivals RATTER.

Thanks for saving chickens. I would do too, only I have a very severe allergy to chickens (parrots and pigeons) which could ultimately finish me off (I jest not!!)
Looks fantastic! What lucky hens then are. How many are you getting?

Do you actually need a run? Mine just roam round the garden (wrecking it, I might add).

I had to scrub my henhouse yesterday so I am pleased it is not as big as that.

LL I think the hounds may see them as a quick snack, hence the run.

Barmaid, see above^^ We have ordered 5 hens, we will want 10 but the other 5 will be specific rare breeds probably of Carakeel's choosing, she is the researcher.
lol, now I see.

That's a truck load of eggs though!!!

You can get some gorgeous rare breeds - really pretty birds. A mate of mine has quite a few. I just have Light Sussex.

The hounds are fed on raw chicken most days along with other raw meats, I think having chickens running loose will be pushing our luck just a bit, as the dogs are in the garden nearly every day. I think they will be just be very inquisitive but wont hassle them at all.
That's a good piece of work Ratter.
Can you be contracted to build AB a new HQ please? We won't need anything as grand as that though.

No problem ED, would you object to sharing it with a few Hens, we could make a deal im sure!
Ed will want a special perch though!!!!
That is brilliant RATTER. No fox will be able to get in there I wouldn't think so they should be safe. So pleased you went down the rescue battery hen route. Very well done.

That is an impressive building Ratter - do you also do garden sheds? May you and your hens live long and prosper.
