Are they becoming a fashion faux-pas?  Or will they become even more popular now that New York Beckham was spotted wearing about 6 of them in different colours?

I don't think so. I still think they are great way to show your support. I couldn't really care less what Beckham wears!
I couldn't care less...I don't wear my wristband (nor any of my other clothes) cos I want to be fashionable. I have a breast cancer institute pink band that I bought when I was at my nearest breast unit.  I was there for an ultrasound on a suspicious lump and just felt I had to get one, show my support, raise awareness etc, especially since I eventually got a clean bill of health.
erm - I think it's symptomatic of todays society when charity wristbands are a fashion accessory - mind you I suppose the attention ****** always hijack good causes. nice one
I wear 2 the yellow for Lance Armstrong (excellent cyclist who came through testicular cancer), my husbands friend had this.  Pink Breast cancer, my mum bought one for me, my sister and herself as we all live far away from each other and it reminds us to take care of ourselves and think of each other. I don't wear them for fashion reasons as I am the least fashion concious person I know!
I understand the latest one is the brown one; it signifies support for the Save the Rubber Trees Foundation. Apparently, they have made millions of them already. Personally, I find it a bit strange that people need to advertise their support for a charity but each to their own.
well alot of kids want them and i bet alot of them just buy them for the colours but there again they might buy them just for the charitys which ever reason they are popular which is why i have my doubts about fakery i see lots of them sold in markets and havent seen any sold in shops and  because of that it makes me wonder weather the money actually gets back to the charitys.
