This is a question for the girls, but the boys can join in as well, especially if they carry a bag.

If you looked in your handbag today, what would you find!  A prize of a chocolate cake for the person with the most items and don't cheat.  Please include items in your purse that are not money or plastic!

Oh dear FP are you sure that you really want to know? Actually I've recently had a sort out so this is good - imagine what bad was like...

Purse with far too many things in it to itemise, handbag size perfume, lippy, lipbalm, manicure scissors, (not classed as a weapon are they?), folding hairbrush, treasured lucky stone (obsidian snowflake) given to me by a friend who's sadly no longer here, mirror, pen, address book, notebook, site-map of local hospital, spare pants, pop-socks in case I want to try shoes on, panty-liners, tissues, wet-wipes, asst carrier bags, polos, dextrosol, assortment of emergency medication in case I get stranded (where for God's sake? on Mars?), & then on leaving the house there'll be a small bottle of water & mobile phone.

Purse with credit cards - HSBC card, office door keys, office drawer keys, car keys, band to tie hair if weather is hot, mobile phone, my business cards, sunglasses, 2 driving licenses (one old, one new), cash, old membership card from gym, 2 old library cards (didn;t know I had them till now!!) old Barclays Bank card, Orange Sim Card, black ballpoint pen.

Hi FP, I've got office keys, compact mirror, address book, STs, EDT, brolly, empty carrier bag (in case I need to bring work home that won't fit in my bag), small pack of tissues, couple of audio cassettes (for transcribing for work), another pack of tissues (listing things as I take them out of my bag), floppy disks (containing work), some notes for work, a CD-R (containing work), oh there's the cover for my brolly, wondered where that was, some highlighter pens, more floppy disks (some I brought home for spares and forgot about!) and a scarf (never got turfed out when the weather changed).

Well you've shamed me into having a clearout anyway!

one parcel claim card from the post office

two sanitary towels

one unclaimed postal order

several receipts

one pack of tissues

my ipod

my phone

my keys

my box of sandwiches

one pack of two biscuits

my weight watchers journal, with pen

my weight watchers calculator

my make up bag

an umbrella

a pair of sunglasses

a notebook

a pack of facial wipes

a pack of deoderant wipes

some random internet printouts

my last payslip

a tube of frizz-ease cream

some empty cash bags

a loose card of painkillers

and a sleep mask-blindfold-thing (don't ask!)

I have got my small bag with me today so its not as bad as usual here goes..

mobile phone, diary, assorted keys and keyrings! cigarettes, assorted lighters, various reciepts bank card ( not in purse for some reason ) next appointment card for giving blood (went yesterday) front for stereo, shopping list, paracetamol, �2.10 in losse change in bottom of bag, reciept for winning bingo, sticker for giving money to charity, in my purse i have boots gift voucher from xmas bingo card, blood doner card dorothy perkins card gym card pool hall card2 x credit card and driving license no paper money just lots of change!

Just been into Boots, but my Advantage card wasn't in my wallet! I looked on this thread to see if I'd posted it here last night, but I didn't - so I've lost it!

I've had to phone Boots for a replacement as I has �21 worth of points on it. So thanks FP, this has been a worth while exercise! :o)

i never use to carry a purse, but i carry a small one now.  i have my drivers licsence, debit card, chapstick, cigeretts, and lighter. i should win the cake for having the fewist iteams!!!!!!! 5 things!

hi happy_face, sorry I did post an answer but it's gone AWOL. Anyway what I said in answer to your swatch question & book question was that I recently had my colours done and was told that I'm a Winter. So now I don't buy anything unless I've checked me chart! Sad but true! the book is just general info about putting outfits together and breaks down the colours in your spectrum that suit you into a readable format. i.e. not to wear yellow from head to toe! hope that answers your question. Oh my gawd! It sounds as though my shoulder bag is really heavy & bulky, but most of the things I have in it are very small items, like stamps, snippets of roller blind, carpet, fabric, which make it sound a lot. I'm a very tidy person & likes everything in its place! Excuses, excuses!

Oh & my bag is quite light too. :o}
