When I had mine Sammy, teenage son brought his new girlfriend to visit. He said afterwards it was embarrassing to pass all the lockers with Lucozade etc and end up at the one that had 12 bottles of Guinness on it.

I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago. I was lucky not to be cut so didnt have that to contend with, but I felt very weak for about 3 months. When I went back to work I was on reduced hours for 6 weeks and gradually built the hours up each week till I was on full time again. When I first started walking the dogs again I couldnt believe how tired I was and how I couldnt walk half as far with them. I was always asleep every afternoon. I must say that it was mainly tiredness with myself. I didnt have any complications and am so pleased I went ahead with the op, best thing I ever did!! Just rest and you will soon feel ok again, you must give yourself time to recover as it is a major op.
It takes a good three months .We're not all the same .Our bodies all react differently .I had a vacuum extraction .
I had three months off work but felt fine after six weeks and could in theory have gone back to work but had a job that was physically demanding and on my feet all day .
Just rest up ,take it easy.
Hope you soon feel better ...you'll look back later and it'll be the best days work you ever did :)

Give it time Sammy everyone has their level. Eat and sleep and go for walks get some fresh air. Don't carry anything heavy or do any heavy housework. It was eight weeks before I felt anything like, the stitches delayed the progess, and I ended up with a bladder infection. But it was necessary to have the op and I felt better for it.
Hi Sammy i had a hysterectomy 12 weeks ago, i felt exactly the same as you, so so tired and in pain, i started to feel better at about 9 weeks, i began to build my strength back up slowly by walking and doing a little more round the house ( nothing heavy) and things improved, its very frustrating and i remember being at the point when i thought i would never get better!! I returned to work this week on a phased return, did half a day the first day back and it wiped me out!!!! had a nanna nap in the afternoon then felt ok, so just be patient and it will come, hope you feel stronger soon xx
