It's spelt coccyx.  I don't understand your question!  Do you mean what's the cause?
You may have bumped it unknowingly and it can hurt for quite a while.  Are you quite a tall person as tall people suffer from this more.
Coccyx pain (tailbone pain) is often caused by falling backwards or by childbirth, though the cause of pain is unknown in about a third of cases. It makes it very painful to sit down. There are effective treatments available, and the great majority of sufferers can be cured.
By the way - my friend injured hers at school falling off a horse.  The doctor gave her a donught cushion, the exact same type given to people with piles/hemorrhoids!!  This way she would sit down without putting pressure on her tailbone and it was cured a lot quicker that way too!
Do you snowboard?

you can also suffer from straightening of the coccyx, which is what my mum has.  She's never injured it, but slowly over the years it's begun to straighten out a little at the very tip.  This causes her quite a bit of discomfort and occasionally it is really sore.

Damaging it in childbirth is very common.  My friend fractured hers!  Ouch!   Doughnut cushion was her best friend she said!

I cannot believe you asked that question and got 6 answers without a "humorous" response.

I doff my cap to you!

So doff, so doff, so doff your cap I pray....

Oh Octavius - don't be a pain in the coccyx! And Jake - don't go encouraging him!

It might be poor, but that was humour folks! :-p
